What brings me joy ?
There is something about flowers that has always warmed my heart and made me smile.
From those bright bunches we buy ourselves to pop on our kitchen tables to those magnificent installations that adorn wedding arches. Flowers bring joy - joy for those celebrating life. exciting milestones and precious memories of loved ones.
My own floral journey has woven its way through my life as I involved myself in creating florals for friends and family from a young age (I even did florals for my own wedding way back when!) and all throughout my career as an Early Childhood Educator. It finally come to the fore I as approached my mid-forties. I had an incredible urge to follow those dreams of working with beautiful blooms to create florals that would bring this joy to so many more.
After learning from a wide selection of magnificent floral designers in Adelaide, this gave me the confidence to start my own floral business in the Adelaide Hills, SA.
What started as a little 'Formal Corsage' side hustle "little bunches" it soon blossomed. I've been lucky enough to work with many beautiful wedding couples, provided funeral florals for hundreds of families and created florals for an assortment of events and purposes.
The name "The flower hunt" originated from my maiden name - Hunt, but it certainly is apt as I spend large chunks of my time searching out the most beautiful blooms for my gorgeous clients and special people.
Living in the Adelaide Hills I am so lucky to have access to a wide selection of local flower farms, and work closely with these growers to source the freshest and best quality blooms for my projects.
I'm excited to continue designing and creating beautiful florals for the big moments in people’ s lives!
